A Lovely Wall

I have a really lovely old and crumbling garden wall and I have therefore decided that I want to make sure that the garden fits in with it. Therefore I do not want anything that is too modern and nothing too neat and tidy like landscape edging. I have decided that I want to keep things quite wild looking but in a controlled way. I think that will be quite hard to achieve but I am looking through various gardening magazines in order to get an idea of what might work and what might not. I am taking my time over it all so that I get exactly the right effect. I would like some ferns in the shady parts and some mossy and grassy areas but also somehow want some flowers too and I am thinking that a raised garden might make the most of the wall. I think that I will have to draw it all out so that I can better visualise what it will look like and try to decide if it will all work out well. I can always change it if it doesn’t work of course but that will be costly, time consuming and disappointing and I will not be happy about that. Plan carefully for your raised bed gardens.
